The compact P78A-1000 non-isolated DC-DC converter series has been designed to offer a high performance alternative to linear regulators. Utilizing switching technology, the series is footprint compatible with TO-220 package LM78XX model regulators. Unlike linear regulators, the P78 DC switching regulator does not require a heat sink, making it ideal for applications where board space is at a premium and energy efficiency is a concern.
