The Bel multi-gigabit copper enhanced Small Form-factor Pluggable (SFP+) transceiver is a hot-pluggable module with an RJ45 interface delivering 10 Gbps over CAT6a cable, or 2.5 Gbps and 5 Gbps over CAT5e cable, through an integrated duplex data link for bidirectional communication over copper. Built to the SFP Transceiver Multi-Source Agreement (MSA), the module reaches data rates that rival fiber while reusing the installed copper plant, eliminating recabling cost during network upgrades. It is designed for enterprise switches, routers, and data center equipment with SFP+ cages serving copper-connected endpoints, and offerings can be customized to the application.
