Signal Transformer HCTC Chokes and HCTI Inductors

Discover Signal’s HCTC and HCTI series of high current toroidal chokes and inductors, designed for use in switch-mode power supplies, DC-DC converters, and EV charging circuits.

Signal Transformers' HCTC and HCTI Series of high current toroidal chokes and inductors can carry up to 20 amps and are designed for use in switch mode power supplies, DC to DC converters, and EV charging circuits. HCTC chokes provide excellent EMI suppression and are available with inductance values from 1 to 50 milli henries using the largest possible conductor to minimize heat rise.

HCTI inductors are offered from 10 to 1,000 micro henries and have a self shielded construction to minimize magnetic radiation. They also have low core loss and low DCR to maximize efficiency and they can be used on their own for output filtering, making them an optimal choice. For input filtering and PFC, designers can achieve optimum circuit performance by using one HCTC as the common mode choke in combination with two HCTIs as the differential mode inductors and a third HCTI for PFC. Both series can be used from negative 55 to positive 105 degrees Celsius and feature a vertical PCB mounting design to minimize PCB space.
