Bel Magnetic Solutions Introduces Automotive Ethernet MagJack® ICMs

San Jose, CA [30 October 2019] Bel Magnetic Solutions, a Bel group company (NASDAQ: BELFA and BELFB) and global leader in design and manufacturing of MagJack® Integrated Connector Modules (ICM), introduces a line of ICMs designed for automotive Ethernet applications. These single port 10/100BaseT/1GBaseT ICMs provide the ability to upgrade existing CAN bus signaling with Ethernet signaling and cables styles, suitable for driver-assist radar, infotainment, cameras and programable lighting applications.

The automotive industry is swiftly moving to replace existing CAN bus signaling with Ethernet signaling and cabling styles. Ethernet is both faster in transmission speed and lighter in cable weight – driving the current trend of innovation and cost reductions in next generation vehicles. Bel’s automotive Ethernet ICM’s are the first SAE/USCAR2-6 compatible products in production with operating temperature ranges up to 100°C along with vibration withstand and sealing requirements. These ICMs are compatible with standard automotive-grade transceivers from Broadcom, Intel and Marvell.

Common part numbers: A829-1A1T-91B, A836-1A1T-91B, A829-1J1T-KM, 2250548-1
